Explain how calcium, Ca2+, and phosphate, PO3-4, can make a compound with electroneutrality.?

Ca has a charge of +2 and PO4 has a charge of -3. In order to cancel out the charges, you bond 3 Ca ions with 2 PO4 ions and get Ca3(PO4)2.
