The new pressure release/relief valve leaks on my boiler...any old tricks to stop it from dripping?

I thought it was a bad valve so I replaced it. It was fine but this morning I see that the new valve is doing the same thing. Could I have purchased a bad new valve? Any old school tricks would be helpful. I am fairly handy but not a plumber by trade. Of course it only leaks when heated up. Thanks!
