Tattoo for 1st child?

We are having our 1st child next month and my boyfriend wants to get a tattoo in honor of him. His grand idea right now is to get our babys birth certificate (all filled out like the real one) with God's hands holding it up and a phrase above it. I hate it! Does anyone have any ideas for a different tattoo that isnt just footprints/handprints or the baby's name/DOB?
