My boyfriend didnt invite me to his sports banquet.?

He didnt catch my drift when i said " i wish i could be there". now im super angry and i dont feel like talking to him. Although i love him very much it makes me sad to know hes not going to ask me to come. what should i do?? PLEASE HELP
