In GTA IV, is it possible to have more than one girlfriend?

Right now my girlfriend is Carmen, but I want Kiki as my girlfriend to so that she can lower my stars :) but when I sent a request to date her, I never got a reply. I believe I've waited about 5 days (in GTA time). Any reason why? Are you only allowed one girlfriend at a time?
