Is there a relation bet Infective Endocarditis&wbc count?

I know that this won't answer your question, but I had active endocarditis for nearly 3 weeks,and my repeated blood work was always within normal limits. They only confirmed it at last, after a chance doplar imaging test, and then echocardiography. I was on Vancomycin IV for nearly a month. Subsequent testing shows I have 'moderate' deterioration to a valve, but it hasn't gotten worse since I was sick with this about 8 yrs ago, and surgery is not indicated for me at this time.
