Section 107 of Copyright Act of 1976?
Based on Section 107 of Copyright Act of 1976, teachers are allowed to photocopy and use a limited amount of copyrighted materials in their clroom under specific conditions for educational purposes. With the advent of digital media, internet and WWW teachers and students wrongly think they can copy anything from the web and it becomes theirs. Is using materials found on the web different from using mateirals found in a copyrighted book? How can you determine if your use of copyrighted mateirlas is goverened by fair use rules? How will y ou teach your students about copyright laws and fair use?
