I downloaded a movie from ares that is not supported with it's audio?

Movies are encoded (if they weren't they'd each be MANY GB in size). You need the decoder for the video and the decoder for the audio. Windows comes with any decoders, but not all of them. VLC has most decoders, so use it and you don't have to worry about decoders.
