Living thing or not?????????

this is a good question. all living things are made up of matter, reproduce and grow... a lady bug, apple, kangroo, are all living things because they grow and reproduce (apple by seeds) yeast and algae... hm.... well, algae can spread so isnt that a form of reproduction? but what about yeast? i have no idea about the yeast thing... hm... no, i dont thing it spreads or grows... does it ? so my final answer has to be that yeast is not a living thing. hope im right!
